KT Connections Joins Educators at Annual TIE Conference

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA - KT Connections attended the 19th Technology and Innovation in Education (TIE) Conference in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center this week. The event, which alternates between Rapid City and Sioux Falls each April, reflects TIE’s commitment to advancing education through the thoughtful application of cutting-edge technology solutions and training.

KT Connections TIE 103231During the conference, technology professionals and education specialists presented over 100 seminars to around 1500 educators. These seminars discussed how to apply technology to the learning process, both in theory and practically. This year’s keynote presentations focused on how technology can be used to encourage and empower students, as told by third grader teacher Kayla Delzer, and how the arts and science can cooperate to encourage greatness, as evidenced by speaker and Chief Curiosity Correspondent for Chicago’s Field Museum, Emily Graslie.

This conference demonstrated how crucial technology has become to everyday life and work, and how education may be made all the better for it.
