In our experience as a member of the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce, we have found it to be an enriching and rewarding experience, both as area professionals and as a service provider in the B2B space. That’s why we’ve decided to dedicate a blog to share some of the benefits that we’ve enjoyed.
While a chamber of commerce is an excellent place to network and exchange contact info with your fellow business owners and colleagues, it can accomplish much more than this. By definition, a chamber of commerce is an association comprised of members of a particular area’s business community, formed to advance the goals and interests of the businesses within that area. Whether or not a particular business is a member, the chamber advocates for them.
Furthermore, a chamber of commerce can prove to be a valuable resource for you in a variety of ways. Consider this: studies have indicated that it is 63 percent more likely that a member of your audience becomes a patron of your business if they know you are a member of the local chamber.
Joining a chamber of commerce opens you up to a bevy of additional occasions to advance your business, its operations, and your engagement with your community.
For instance, the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce offers an online directory of its member organizations that other members (and the general public) can use to find the kind of businesses that they are seeking out. Appearing on this directory is a great way to make yourself visible, opening the door to potential business opportunities.
Another great networking opportunity that chamber membership offers are the events that a chamber will host. We’ve been to a few recently, and had a great time building connections. If you were there as well and we didn’t get the chance to talk to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us now.
It’s this kind of networking and building personal relationships that makes membership with a chamber of commerce such a beneficial opportunity for those of us who are a part of the Chamber, but it also spills over to assist all Rapid City businesses - and again, isn’t that the point?
We have very much appreciated the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful organization, and we want to show our appreciation to our fellow members with a free IT assessment. Reach out to us to claim yours today.
If you aren’t yet a chamber member, please, don’t hesitate to join up! The process is extremely simple, and is so worth it. We’re looking forward to seeing you at some of these events.
